Our Staff

Dr. Elizabeth McElligott has over a decade of experience in aesthetics and as a licensed healthcare provider. She has a passion for, and expertise in, holistic dermatology and empowering women to look and feel their best. Dr. McElligott is a budding homesteader and amateur wood-worker. She enjoys being in nature, gardening, cooking, canning, arts projects and hiking with her dog Fitzgerald.

Ruth Hobson  

ND, Naturopathic Physician  

Dr. Ruth is a naturopathic physician graduating from The National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Her area of focus during her education was driven by women’s health, obtaining specialized training in gynecology, Holistic Pelvic Care ™, naturopathic midwifery and obstetrics. She returned to the National College of Natural Medicine to complete her residency following graduation with a focus in primary care medicine. During her residency, Dr. Ruth oversaw patient care and assisted in the didactic education of medical students during her rotations as well as in the class room assisting with education in gynecology lab and several other clinical education courses. Dr. Ruth’s passion for and understanding of women’s health has taken her around the world, giving her the opportunity to conduct and engage in two separate medical camps in rural Nepal focusing in women’s health and gynecological concerns. Dr. Ruth brings almost a decade of knowledge and experinece to her work at Fresh Faces Rx and is excited to empower women to love their whole selves.

Hi, I am Taylor.  I am a licensed Advanced Esthetician and my passion is to inspire women and men to feel beautiful in their natural skin through the art and science of aesthetic medicine.  I am proud to work for Fresh FacesRX because of their rigorous commitment to health and beauty. From the meticulous efforts in developing best-in-class treatment options, the skincare line that provides soothing comfort and superior results, to the diverse portfolio of medial and beauty professionals on our team, I am confident in our ability to make a difference in our client’s lives.  When I am not working at Fresh Faces RX, I am most likely to be found outside exploring, fishing, and camping. I adore my animals. And I love spending time with my friends and family, usually eating at great restaurants.

SAFETY

Your comfort and well-being are very important to us. Prior to receiving your service, please inform us of any medical conditions including pregnancy, hypertension, injuries, allergies, Sun Exposure, disabilities or illnesses. Talking with your technician will help customize your service to ensure your maximum safety and benefit. 
Please note that we are wheelchair accessible-please text 503-880-5755 when you arrive, the ramp is beside the Pearl Animal Hospital, we will come open the back door.

 

SCHEDULING

We recommend that you schedule your next service prior to leaving the spa.

 

TIPS

As this is a medical office we don't accept tips.  We love word of mouth referrals though! Positive yelp reviews also really help.  

PUNCTUALITY

We request that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.  We are doing our best to stay on time, we understand snafus happen- When booking services at Fresh Faces Rx, your appointment is scheduled with a provider whose time is allocated exclusively for your scheduled treatment. If you are late for a scheduled appointment, our company policy offers you two options: 1. You may opt to shorten your treatment 2. You may prefer to reschedule your appointment at a more convenient time, however, depending on the circumstances, a cancellation charge will be incurred.

CANCELLATION POLICY 

We understand that occasionally you may have to cancel an appointment with us. However, we do ask that you give us fair warning. You will be emailed before to confirm your appointment. As a courtesy to our clients and staff, it is company policy for all clients to give 24 hours’ notice of cancellation. Failure to do so will result in a $50 cancellation fee.  It's simple, our online scheduling system allows you to cancel up to 24 hours prior to the appointment, you can also call 503-880-5755.

REFUNDS

Products & Services are not refundable. All services purchased will expire 1 year after first session is redeemed. Gift cards expire one year after purchase.

If you are unhappy with your service, please request to meet with the Medical Director.  We are deeply committed to outcomes and patient satisfaction and we will do our best to make things right.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

Fresh Faces RX respects your privacy and is committed to protecting and securely managing all of the personal information that you choose to share with us. During your online visit, you may be required to share personally identifiable information, such as your first and last name, physical address, telephone number or e-mail address. Fresh Faces RX collects this information in order to facilitate the delivery of services and/or the completion of an order. Fresh Faces RX will not sell, share, or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

PRE PEEL CARE

Absolute contraindications include the following: Active bacterial, viral, fungal, or herpetic infection (if you have a history of cold sores, request prophylactic HSV medication); Open wounds, History of drugs with photosensitizing potential;Preexisting inflammatory dermatoses (eg, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, pemphigus); Facial cancers, especially facial melanoma; A history of abnormal scarring, keloids, atrophic skin; Isotretinoin use in the last 12 months; Pregnant or breastfeeding; Aspirin allergy; Vitiligo. 

• One week before the peel avoid waxing, electrolysis, deploritory creams, and laser hair removal.• Two to three days before the peel discontinue using any prescription topicals such as Retin-A, differin or Tazorac, as well as any products containing retinol, alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA), beta hydroxyl acids (BHA) or benzoyl peroxide.• Patients who have had any medical cosmetic facial treatments or procedures such as Laser treatments, cosmetic fillers or other surgical procedures should wait until skin sensitivity has completely resolved before receiving a peel. 

PRE LASER CARE

NO antibiotics, NO sun exposure Including; Sun beds and Spray tans, NO waxing and Tweezing 2 weeks pre laser treatment. All areas being treated MUST be shaved the morning of appointment.

POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOLLOWING BOTOX OR DYSPORT

Do not participate in activities that include heavy lifting, vigorous exercise or straining for 2-3 hours.  Do not rub, touch, or manipulate the treated areas for 3 hours.  Make-up may be applied gently before leaving the office, remember to wipe away from your eyes.  Feel free to stop by the Jane Iredale make-up station at the front desk. It may take 2-14 days for the neuromodulator to take full effect.  Follow-up visit  2-3 weeks may be necessary to assess results for subsequent treatments; this is important for first time clients.  Re-treatment is between 4-6 months (no more than every 3 months). 

POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOLLOWING HYALURONIC ACID

DERMAL FILLER​

If after 6 hours there are lumps present, you may gently massage.  Continue to ice as recommended by your practitioner.  Bruising around the mouth and nose is common after injections; avoid the following for up to 1 week:  Aspirin, NSAIDS (Ibuprofen), Ginko Biloba, Garlic Supplements, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamins A and E, and essential fatty acids (these may increase your risk of bruising).  Antihistamines, Tylenol, Arnica, and Bromelain may help with swelling and bruising.  Avoid vigorous exercise and heat for 3 days.  Avoid intense heat (sunbathing) or extreme cold for the first 2 weeks to avoid further inflammation to the area.  If touch-ups are needed, we need to wait until the soft tissue swelling is resolved, generally 2 weeks.  Avoid laser or IPL treatments of the area for 2 weeks, especially treatments that create heat in the dermis.  Schedule a follow up at 6 months to evaluate how your filler is lasting.  Please call our office at 503-880-5755  to report any redness, persistent itching, increasing pain or concerns. 

POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOLLOWING IPL

Apply cold (not frozen) packs every 15 minutes per hour until symptoms subside.  Avoid anything that creates heat for 2 days (hot bath, sauna, exercise, etc.).  Daily SPF 30, the sun has a profound effect following laser treatments. Unprotected or prolonged UV exposure can result in pigment irregularities due to increased melanocyte activity.   Protect area from exposure to sunlight for at least one month following your photofacial treatment.  Microcrusting can last 3 days to 3 weeks depending on area treated.  Do not pick or scratch.  A mild sunburn-like sensation may last up to 3 days.  Avoid Retin-A, Benzoyl Peroxide, glycolics, astringents, and exfoliation for 7-10 days (perform a test spot prior to resuming these products).  If you develop cold sores (HSV) please call our office 503-880-5755; if you have a history of HSV in the areas treated,  take prophylaxis.

POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOLLOWING FEMININE REJUVENATION​

Vaginal hydrating gel may be prescribed as per physician’s discretion to soothe the vaginal lining.  Continue with your anti-viral medication as prescribed by your physician.  Avoid heat exposure in the treated area (such as hot shower or sauna) for 72 hours.  Avoid use of feminine douche and refrain from sexual activity for 72 hours.  Avoid strenuous exercise for 48 hours.  Use a panty liner for 24 hours as there may be some discharge due to tissue breakdown.  A transient inflammatory reaction is expected after the procedure (e.g. sensation of heat). Usually it is resolved within 24 hours and does not last more than 72 hours.  Schedule your subsequent treatments 4 weeks apart.
